I have worked in music & music production for over 30 years, having acquired extensive skills and experience in composition, live performance, recording, mixing, editing & mastering. I have produced numerous records, composed music for short films, TV advertising and theatre, and played keyboards and guitar in various bands and studio projects.
I have a great passion for vintage keyboard instruments which I integrate into a modern studio environment, which gives me an extensive palate of sounds and textures to work with. My composition techniques are grounded by a solid training in traditional music theory but are highly informed by modern electronic music and 20th Century avant-garde approaches to sound sculpting.
Over the last few years I have been working more in TV and film. I really enjoy working to picture and I love being able to bring all of my accumulated musical & production skills to every new project. My goal is to not only support my clients vision but to extend it with new and unique sonic textures to set their work apart.
I also LOVE working with analogue tape - the most satisfying projects of my life have been tape projects, and I continue to work with this format whenever possible.
Finally, perhaps my greatest love is live performance (keyboards, and sometimes guitar)... recent projects have included funk and soul (Hammond! Yes!), electronic pop, cabaret lounge jazz, and tribute bands like this one (ok everyone needs a day job!)
